THE PRESIDIO OF MONTEREY, CA, FIRE DEPARTMENT has taken delivery of a BullEx 27-foot Fire Safety and Emergency Training Trailer that features interactive kitchen and bedroom training scenarios and a pre-training briefing room. The interactive kitchen training room features a fully interactive stove with oven and stovetop fire training scenarios complete with digital flame, smoke and sound effects. In the bedroom scenario, smoke issues from the “feel for heat” door allowing for interactive hazard recognition and evacuation lessons.

THE CHARLESTON, SC, FIRE DEPARTMENT has taken delivery of a Pierce Arrow XT 100-foot aerial tiller, the department’s first aerial tiller in more than 60 years. Components include Amkus hydraulic rescue tools, Warn 16500 electric winch, Warn 9,000-pound portable winch, Whelen light package, Firecom 5100 digital intercom, 20-kilowatt Harrison MPC generator, Hannay electric cord reels and Will-Burt Nightscan Profiler 3.0 light tower.

THE NAHANT, MA, FIRE DEPARTMENT has placed in service a Sutphen SL 100 mid-mount quint featuring a 500-hp Cummins engine, 100-foot aerial, 2,000-gpm waterway, 490-gallon water tank and 20-gallon foam tank.
