Nine people are looking for a place to stay after their homes were destroyed or damaged by fire Wednesday evening.
D.C. firefighters encountered heavy fire coming from a house and launched an aggressive effort, WUSA9 reported.
Two houses were destroyed and a third was damaged. There were no injuries reported.
The cause remains under investigation.
