The driver of a car was extricated and rescued after plunging 400 feet off a cliff in Angeles National Forest.

Los Angles County Helicopter 22 had to lower three firefighters down a hillside to rescue the driver of a car that plunged off the Angeles Crest Highway.

According to KTLA News, a witness told officers that a gray vehicle lost control and went over the side when it was unable to merge with a black Scion displaying paper plates.

The vehicle then plunged about 400 feet down the mountain.

The firefighters had to cut the driver out of the car and then drag that person up the hillside in a litter basket until Copter 22 was able to reach them.

Copter 22 then flew the victim to Holy Cross Medical Center.
