John F. Sullivan is the fire chief of the Brookline, MA, Fire Department. He previously served as deputy chief of operations for the Worcester, MA, Fire Department. Sullivan holds a bachelor’s degree in fire science and a master’s degree in public administration. He is a National Fire Academy Executive Fire Officer graduate and holds the designation of Chief Fire Officer from the Center for Public Safety Excellence. Sullivan is also a member of The Institution of Fire Engineers (USA branch). Chief Sullivan has authored many professional articles and papers, and lectures nationally and internationally on the subjects of leadership and firefighter safety and survival.
