Projects must have been completed since Jan 1, 2018. Judges have requested only completed projects be submitted, as renderings are subject to change during approvals, budget adjustments, and final construction.
The awards will recognize superlative work in seven categories:
Career Stations 1 - Over 15,000 sq. ft. facilities staffing full-time fire and emergency personnel
Career Stations 2 - Under 15,000 sq. ft. facilities staffing full-time fire and emergency personnel
Satellite Stations - Additional stations apart from headquarters or main offices
Volunteer/Combination Stations - Facilities staffed by fully volunteer, combination of non-paid and paid fire and emergency personnel
Shared Facilities - Fire and emergency response facilities shared with other agencies or organizations such as police, training facilities or local government offices
Station Renovation - Facilities that are redesigned, re-purposed or upgraded
Training Facilities - Designated fire and emergency response facilities for training
Entry Form Due July 28, 2022
A completed, signed entry form for each portfolio must be received prior to judging
Portfolio Due August 12, 2022
On receipt of your entry form, instructions will be emailed to you on assembling your portfolio. These instructions will include a project data sheet, as well as instructions on required photos and space plans. All materials should be uploaded per instructions.
If your project is selected for a citation or as an outstanding building, the materials submitted in your portfolio will be used to create your project's page(s) in the magazine. Portfolios should be of a quality suitable for judging and publication. Firehouse reserves the right to reject those portfolios deemed not acceptable for publication.

Step 1: Complete and sign the entry form
It’s easy to get started! Simply tell us your method of payment below, and fill out the entry form. Please be sure to digitally sign the form before you submit it.
Once we receive your entry form we will send you an e-mail outlining the requirements and materials we need to complete Step 2.
Step 2: Follow the instructions we will send you to submit the following:
1) Project Data Sheet
Must be concise and include clear project essentials.(300 words max)
2) Space Plan
One overall site plan
One floor plan for each level or story of the building
3) Photographs (Maximum 10 photos)
Photos must be 300 dpi minimum
Include one overall exterior photo depicting nature of facility
Include a minimum of three exterior photos
Include a minimum of four interior photos
At least one "BEFORE" photo required for Station Renovations
Please label all before and after photos
