Matt Wilcox has been in the fire service for the past 15 years, including 10 years concentrating on technical rescue. He is the assistant fire chief for the Maplewood, MO, Fire Department and a rescue squad officer for FEMA Urban Search and Rescue Missouri Task Force 1. Wilcox has a bachelor’s degree in emergency management and a master’s degree in organizational development from Waldorf University. He is an instructor for/co-owner of Total Technical Rescue Solutions in St. Louis County, MO.
