This 1993 Pierce Saber was the first Saber off the assembly line for Pierce manufacturing. It was featured on the original Pierce sales brochure. This engine is powered by a Detroit series 40 300 hp with Allison transmission. It has a 1250 gpm Waterous pump with top mount control and carries 1000 gallons of water. In addition to the 1100' of 4" hose, it carries 600' of 2 1/2" hose and 2 speedlays of 1 3/4" hose under the panel as well as 100' of 1 3/4" hose off the front bumper. This truck has a front inlet for hydrant hook-ups along with two 6" intakes mid-ship with piston relief valves. It is equipped with a Newton 10" quick dump valve for use as a small tanker. The ground ladders are carrier on a hydraulic ladder rack that keeps them out of the way until needed while allowing for more storage space. The cab holds a total of six personnel with four "911" SCBA seats in the rear. Two Federal "Night-Fighter" lights are mounted to the rear of the cab for easy access and quick set up for night-time operations.
