Utility 278

July 15, 2009
This 2000 John Deere Gator with "med-bed" attachment was donated entirely by the American Tobacco Company to assist us in our needs. Part of the Cedar Valley Nature Trail, an abandonded railway coverted to bicycle/hiking path, runs through our response area. With limited access and no where to turn around (along with some area's just too narrow to drive a full size ambulance), this muti-purpose vehicle was just the ticket. It is equipped with a stokes type basket stretcher and room for two attendants and a driver. Being a 4x4, it's use is not only during good weather on the trail, but in the winter as well for reaching remote area's where snowmobilers and hiker's sometime travel. Our sincere thanks to the American Tobacco Company for their generous donation.
