Rescue 2

July 15, 2009
Rescue 2 is a patient transfer unit used for evacuating patients from remote areas including beaches and wildland areas. Originally built as a 15-passenger van, it was converted to four-wheel drive by Quigly 4X4 in Pennsylvania, and its rear seats were removed. The rear seats were replaced with a custom patient care area equipped with BLS equipment, an AED, and space for ALS equipment brought on-board by Dare County EMS paramedics during patient transport. Rescue 2 responds to all water rescue calls and EMS calls in remote areas, and is able to tow all of our boats.
