Lighting Plant

The Waltham Auxiliary Fire Department operates Lighting Plant 2. The 1972 Ford/Farrar Rescue, formerly Marshfield Rescue 1, was rebuilt by the Waltham Auxiliary Fire Department members. This truck carries a 24 kilowatt gasoline generator, 10 - 1500 watt quartz telescoping floodlights. The floodlights are mounted on the truck but can be removed and set in stands in the area of the fire or other emergency. Also carried are 20 hand lights, and related equipment, related electrical equipment and over a mile of electric cable. Other equipment includes four smoke ejectors, ground ladders, portable pumps, and assorted hand tools.
