Showcase: Unique Tanker Delivered to Fort Montgomery, N.Y.

The Fort Montgomery (N.Y.) Fire Department has taken delivery of a unique tanker with a 1,500-gpm pump, a 2,400-gallon tank and a large diameter hose reel capable of holding up to 4,000 feet of 4-inch hose.

It's built on a KME Predator two-door cab and chassis with seating for two. It has three Newton 10-inch dump valves.

It carries a 12-foot roof ladder and a 10-foot folding ladder in the hose bed on a Zico drop down rack. It also has two arm Quic-Lift portable tank systems, Class 1 ES-KEY multiplex electrical system and a Whelen light package.

The overall length of the apparatus is 33.1 feet long with a 10-foot, 8-inch height.

The apparatus was sold by William McGuffey for $563,000.
