Showcase: Cutchogue (N.Y.) Fire Dept. Has a New Boat

The Cutchogue (N.Y.) Fire Department now has a fire boat in service. It is a custom built 28-foot Curtis Marine, all-aluminum hull with an enclosed, heated pilot house. It has capabilities of transporting two patients.

Other features include integrated radar and GPS and a roof-mounted FLIR Nightvision system. It also has a thermal imaging camera, dive door with an integrated ladder and a lifting davit.

For fire suppression, it has a Hale 550 gpm pump with a bow monitor and handlines on the back.
