Showcase: Branchburg, N.J. Puts New Quint In Service

North Branch Fire Company has taken delivery of a KME 79-foot AerialCat quint ladder. It's built on a KME Predator cab and chassis with a 10-inch raised roof.

It's powered by a Cummins ISL-9 450-hp engine and is equipped with a Hale 2,000 gpm, single-stage pump, an Onan 10,000-watt pto generator, Kussmaul 9 hp 120-volt air compressor, Fire Research "In-Control" pressure governor, Class 1 Es-Key electrical system, Fire Research Spectra 900 LED lights, Whelen light package, Whelen LED traffic advisor, two Hannay 120-volt reels and a TFT Monsoon remote-controlled monitor.

Other equipment includes IQAN motion control system, two double box beam "H" type out and down outriggers, a retractable waterway and luminescent rung covers.

The apparatus cost $764,000.
