Showcase: Sandwich, N.H. Puts Pumper/Tanker With CAFS in Service

The members of the Sandwich (N.H.) Fire Department have put into place a "high center of gravity" pumper/tanker in service built by HME Ahrens-Fox.

Built on an International cab and chassis, the apparatus also has a compressed air foam system, a folding tank rack cover, a Hale FoamLogix 2.1, Pneumax 80-SP compressed air foam system and a 30-gallon Class A foam tank with exclusive HME Hydra Technology.

It also as a 7-inch LCD back-up camera, thru-the-tank ladder storage, aircraft quality bolted construction, 12-gauge stainless steel pump control panel, TFT model 18-inch Extend-a-Gun, aluminum tool boards and adjustable hosebed dividers.

Using advanced stability control systems, the tanker can handle any terrain while maximizing handling and preventing the possibility of roll-overs.
