The Fallen Leaf Lake C.S.D. Fire Department has taken delivery of a new rescue engine built by HME on a custom cab and chassis with a Cummins engine and an Allison transmission.

The Fallen Leaf Lake C.S.D. Fire Department has taken delivery of a new rescue engine built by HME on a custom cab and chassis with a Cummins engine and an Allison transmission.

The HME Model 18 Type-1 is also equipped with a Hale 1,250-gpm pump, an 850-gallon water tank with a 20-gallon Class A internal foam tank, and a Hale FoamLogix 2.1 system.

Other equipment includes HME Hydra Technology, two crosslay beds, a center hosewell, a Hannay booster reel, Darley 1-1/2 AGE 150-gpm portable pump driven by a diesel engine, a deck gun riser and through the tank ladder storage.

It also has an Avcomm SC800 intercom system, heated and remote-controlled moto-mirrors with lower convex, LED lighting, 117 cubic feet of compartment space, a 56-inch hosebed height, adjustable hosebed dividers, roll-up doors, four SCBA tubes, utility flood light and PowerArc LED warning lights.
