Allendale, N.J., Fire Department recently celebrated the delivery of a 2015 Pierce pumper with a wet down attended by several neighboring departments.

Allendale, N.J., Fire Department recently celebrated the delivery of a 2015 Pierce pumper with a wet down attended by several neighboring departments. (Watch the video). The new apparatus is powered by a Detroit Diesel 500 hp engine and an Allison 4000EVS transmission. The Arrow XT cab and chassis has a 10-inch raised roof and an Oshkosh TAK-4 independent suspension. To fight fire, it has a Hale 2,000-gpm pump and a 1,000-gallon water tank. Other equipment includes a Harrison 10,000-watt generator, a low rear hose bed, backup camera and four rear discharge gates.
