Members of the New Stanton, Pa., Volunteer Fire Department now have a mini-pumper/quick attack apparatus in service built by KME on a Ford F-550 four door 4x4 cab and chassis.

Members of the New Stanton, Pa., Volunteer Fire Department now have a mini-pumper/quick attack apparatus in service built by KME on a Ford F-550 four door 4x4 cab and chassis. It's powered by a Triton 6.8L V10 engine and a 5-speed Select-Shift automatic transmission. To fight fire, it has a gasoline-driven Waterous pump, a Scotty around-the-pump foam system and a 300-gallon poly water tank with a 10-gallon foam cell. It is also equipped with a Hannay booster reel, full height/full depth compartments, a 122-inch quick attack body constructed of 3/16-inch aluminum, Robinson roll-up doors, Fire Research Spectra scene lights, and Code 3 warning lights.  It was sold by Tim Besser, KME-NY, Latham, N.Y.
