The members of the Seaford Volunteer Fire Company, Sussex County, DE, have taken delivery of a 2015 Pierce Velocity CF pumper-tanker. It is equipped with a 4-door, 7-seat, climate-controlled cab, raised roof, with full height rear doors. It's powered by a 500-hp Detroit Diesel DD13 engine and an Allison 4000EVS automatic transmission. To fight fire it has a Waterous CMU-C-20-C two stage 1,500-gpm pump with electric transfer valve, a Trident Air Prime system, a Pierce TPG throttle, Pierce foam system with Husky 12 foam system and a 2,500-gallon UPF Poly Tank water tank. It also has a Pierce Command Zone,a Kussmaul auto-eject, LED compartment lighting, slide out tool trays, Amdor roll-up doors, saws, fans, tarps, forcible entry tools, Holmatro rescue tools, ladder and hard sleeve tunnels, front, side, and rear FRC FOCUS LED scene lights, twin 2.5-inch rear tank fills, top-mounted booster hose reel, Hannay electric reel, and a Federal Q2B mechanical siren.
