The Philadelphia Fire Department recently took delivery of two pumpers which is part of a six-unit order with Spartan Emergency Response.

The Philadelphia Fire Department recently took delivery of two pumpers which is part of a six-unit order with Spartan Emergency Response. The two units already delivered are built on Spartan Metro Star MFD cabs and chassis. Any additional units to be delivered to the city will have 10-inch raised roofs. They are powered by Cummins engines and Allison transmissions, occupant advanced protection systems, extreme duty interiors, 500-gallon water tanks, Waterous 1,500-gpm pumps, Akron deck guns, rear-facing attack lines and wheel well storage. The contract is renewable for additional unit purchases in the future.
