The Dallas Fire-Rescue Department recently took delivery of a purpose-built Fast Attack/Parking Garage apparatus by BFX Fire Apparatus in Weatherford, TX. Built on a 4x2 2017 Ford F-550 regular cab chassis, equipped with a Power Stroke diesel engine and automatic transmission, the very low overall height allows the apparatus to enter/exit parking garage structures with a 7-foot clearance.  The apparatus was designed to enhance the firefighter’s ability to reach vehicles in areas with limited access and fires utilizing enhancements such as recessed LED lights, in-cab controls for the pump/motor, foam system, and front monitor.  The pump package is equipped with a Waterous E511 pump, FRC Foam Pro 2000 series foam system, and a 400-gallon water tank with a 20-gallon foam cell.
