Misquamicut Fire District has taken delivery of a new pumper built by Ferrara on a Cinder cab and chassis.

Misquamicut, RI, Fire District has taken delivery of a new pumper built by Ferrara on a Ferrara Cinder cab and chassis. It is powered by a Cummins ISL 9 450-hp engine and an Allison 3000EVS transmission. To fight fire, it has a Hale Q-Max 1,500-gpm pump, a 750-gallon tank with a 30-gallon foam cell and a FoamPro 2001 foam system. It is also equipped with five crosslays, storage for eight spare SCBA bottles in the wheel wells. It also carries a 35-foot extension ladder on a Zico, single-arm ladder rack. Other equipment includes a Harrison Hydra-Gen generator and a Whelen Engineering lighting package. It was sold by Specialty Vehicles, Inc., North Attleboro, MA.
