The members of the Stuarts Draft, VA, Volunteer Fire Company have taken delivery of pumper built by Custom Fire on a Sutphen Monarch chassis. It is powered by a Cummins ISX12 500-hp engine and a Allison EVS4000 transmission. It features a concealed bolt construction stainless steel body and roll-up doors. To fight fire it has a Waterous CSU20 1,500-gpm midship pump, a Waterous Advantus compressed air foam system, a Fire Research PumpBoss pressure governor, a Trident air primer system and a 750-gallon polypropylene water tank with a 40-gallon foam cell. Other features include a Harrison 8,000-watt hydraulic generator, Command Light Shadow light tower, Whelen warning lights and Fire Research scene lights.
