The Pantex Fire Department, located in a nuclear weapons facility northeast of Amarillo, TX, recently took delivery of a Rosenbauer custom aerial Raptor.

The Pantex Fire Department, located in a nuclear weapons facility northeast of Amarillo, TX, recently took delivery of a Rosenbauer custom aerial Raptor. The new aerial is built on a Rosenbauer Commander cab and chassis and is powered by a Cummins 450-hp engine and an Allison transmission. It has a 105-foot aerial, a Hale DSD 1,500-gpm pump and a 200-gallon water tank with 20-gallon foam cell. It also has a 10,000-watt Onan generator. The Pantex plant is the nation’s primary facility for the final assembly, dismantlement and maintenance of nuclear weapons.
