The Gum Springs Volunteer Fire Department in Searcy, AR, has taken delivery of a Midwest Fire side control tanker-pumper built on a Freightliner M2 106 chassis with a Cummins L9 350 hp engine, and an Allison 3000 EVS transmission. It has a 3,000-gallon APR polypropylene tank and a Hale MBP 1,000 PTO pump. Other features include three Newton electric 10-inch square electric dump valves with 18-inch telescoping chutes, a stainless steel tip-down portable tank carrier and a 3,000-gallon portable tank. it also has a rear view safety camera, Whelen LED warning lights, and a Kussmaul battery conditioner.
