FDNY Apparatus in Crash with School Bus, Two Cars

Firefighters extricated a man trapped in his car and five people were taken to the hospital following the four-way accident in the Flatlands neighborhood of Brooklyn.

Five people were hurt in a four-way accident Thursday that involved an FDNY apparatus, a school bus and two cars.

The crash happened just before 3:30 p.m. in Brooklyn's Flatlands neighborhood, the Brooklyn Paper reports. Crews extricated a man from one of the cars after the accident trapped him.

Those who were hurt suffered minor injuries and were taken to local hospitals. No firefighters were injured in the incident, and the bus was not carrying children at the time, according to the Brooklyn Paper.
