Six FDNY ambulances had their windows broken, and the vehicles were graffitied over the weekend at a fire station in the Bronx.

A 22-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly vandalizing six FDNY ambulances over the weekend.

Karim Murdoch was charged with two counts of criminal mischief stemming from the incident, according to the FDNY. The vandalized ambulances at Fire Station 13 in the Bronx were discovered Saturday with their windows broken and graffiti on them, the Staten Island Advance reports.

"Vandalizing and damaging our ambulances shows disrespect to the dedicated men and women of FDNY EMS, and the public they bravely serve," FDNY Fire Commissioner Daniel Nigro said in a statement. "This quick arrest is the result of outstanding investigative work by our Fire Marshals."

Investigator watched surveillance video, which showed Murdoch in the area of the station when the ambulances were vandalized. Fire marshals then question him, and he eventually arrested

The FDNY has taken the ambulances out of service so the damage caused by the vandalism can be repaired, the department added.
