Franklin, TN, Fire Department has taken delivery of a new hazmat/rescue with a 23-foot aluminum-body apparatus, built by SVI Trucks.

Franklin, TN, Fire Department has taken delivery of a new hazmat/rescue with a 23-foot aluminum-body apparatus, built by SVI Trucks. It is built on a Spartan Metro Star ELFD cab and chassis with a 24-inch raised roof, powered by a Cummins 450-hp engine with an Allison 3000EVS transmission. It features a Weldon multplex system, a WeatherPak UHF weather station, curbside roll-out awning, roof mount AC condenser, ROM roll-up doors, and a Will-Burt pneumatic-powered telescoping mast.
