Pearl River, NY, Fire District, Hook and Ladder has placed into service a Rosenbauer Commander Viper 78-foot, rear-mount quint.

Pearl River, NY, Fire District, Hook and Ladder has placed into service a Rosenbauer Commander Viper 78-foot, rear-mount quint. It is built on a a four-door, six occupant Rosenbauer Commander cab and chassis, powered by Cummins ISX12 500-hp engine and an Allison transmission. To fight fire, it has a Hale 1,500-gpm pump and a UPF Poly III 500-gallon tank. Other equipment includes roll-out tool draws, roll-out tool trays, wheel well compartments, LED warning lights, blue walkway lights on the aerial and a backup camera. It also includes a Harrison 10,000-watt generator. The apparatus is first-due for residential and small commercial structure alarms, and it is also the out-of-town FAST unit. Compartments on the chauffeur's side of the apparatus carries roof and ventilation tools. The officer's side contains cans and irons.
