Middway, WV, Puts 3,000-Gallon Tanker in Service

The Middleway, WV, Volunteer Fire Department, in Jefferson County, has taken delivery of a 3,000-gallon tanker built by ITI Trailers and Truck Bodies on a 2018 Peterbilt cab and chassis.

The Middleway, WV, Volunteer Fire Department, in Jefferson County, has taken delivery of a 3,000-gallon tanker built by ITI Trailers and Truck Bodies on a  2018 Peterbilt two-door cab and chassis. It is powered by Cummins ISX 680-hp engine and an Allison 4500EVS automatic transmission. To fight fire, it has a Waterous 750-gpm, single-stage pump, 3,000-gallon water tank with stainless steel wrap, and a Trident air prime system. Other features include a Kussmaul auto-eject battery conditioner, slide out tool trays, LED compartment lighting, twin rear intakes, Zico swing down Fold-a-Tank bracket, dump chutes on two side and on the rear, and a Federal Signal Q2B mechanical siren.
