CAL FIRE, located in Madera, CA, has taken delivery of a Midwest Fire side-mount, tanker-pumper built on a Freightliner M2 106 chassis.

CAL FIRE,  located in Madera, CA, has taken delivery of a Midwest Fire side-mount, tanker-pumper built on a Freightliner M2 106 chassis. It is powered by a Cummins L9 350-hp engine and an Allison 3000 EVS transmission. To fight fire, it has a 2,000-gallon APR polypropylene tank and a Hale 750-gpm pto pump. It is also equipped with a Newton 10-inch square dump valve with a 36-inch swivel chute, a Zico electric portable tank carrier with a 2,100-gallon portable tank, Whelen scene and warning lights, gull wing hose bed covers and a Kussmaul air and battery conditioner with an auto eject.
