Jim Tucker was shot in the right shoulder and right leg below the knee, according to colleagues.

Tucker is said to be in stable condition.

At the NFA, Tucker instructs a course in Fire Prevention and Technology Systems that includes such topics as building construction and codes.

He was at the shopping center to talk to Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords.

She remains in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the head.

The rampage left six dead and wounded more than a dozen.
