Every week, officials with Fire Fighter Near Miss select and distribute a report that deals with some type of close call.
"The number of submissions is increasing. It's good to hear that people are willing to share so others can learn," said Amy Hultman, project manager.
The reports involve a myriad of issues from incidents at drills to the fireground, driving situations and others.
Fire and rescue personnel across the country often use the weekly reports to generate discussion, she said.
For National Fire/EMS Safety, Health and Survival Week, Hultman chose a number of a number of different reports.
In addition, they came up with a quiz for personnel to take to determine how they measure up when it comes to safe practices.
