As firefighters, we’re surely not exempt for this obesity epidemic that’s literally confronting one third of our population. But, weight loss, or more specifically, weight management, demands a multi-faceted approach.

In addition, average BMI (body mass index, a weight-to-height formula used to measure obesity) has increased from approximately 25 in 1960 to 28 in 2002.
