I think the time has come to create a new position in each of our fire departments. It will be like nothing you have ever seen before. This new position will have nothing to do with rank, position, title, prestige, or authority. It will have everything to with knowledge, experience, and a concern for the well being of your fellow firefighters, great interpersonal skills, and a love of the fire service. I am going to call this position and the person who holds it the Fire Department Story Teller.
