PTSD**Where do we go?

I am curious, is there anywhere a public safety member can turn to find information on their local mental health professionals that specialize in PTSD that occured during an incident? Is there a site where a firefighter can go to find a list of support groups in their area? Is there a resource out there for volunteer firefighters who lack funding or private medical insurance where they can ask for financial assistance? How about a hotline, manned by public safety workers for public safety workers? What is the true number of firefighters and public safety workers in this country that suffer from PTSD? I am curious about all these questions because I am hoping to find a need for this type of network in the public safety arena. I wonder if it was out there and you suffered from PTSD and were too embaressed to turn to your department or agency would you research a network of this nature to help you if it was available?
