HoseWear makes bags and accessories out of written-off fire hoses. We thought it’s rather silly that perfectly good material is wasted when firehoses reach their standard time of use, so we gave them new life.
Hosewear got started as the first project to ever get funded by Hooandja.ee, Estonia’s answer to Kickstarter (if there ever was a related question). After a successful debut the team has grown to 5 people, sourced almost 10 km of fire hoses from Estonia and Norway and sold it products to more than 15 countries around the world.
This has saved a good many animal skins, gallons of water, oil and other resources used for making bags.
