Sergio Gabriel Villanueva was born on our country’s birthday, the 4th of July, 1968, in Bahia Blanca, Argentina. In early 1970, his parents brought him to the United States so that they could have a better life, and he was raised in Flushing, Queens, New York. His parents were committed to providing him, his younger brother, and sister with the best education and a strong sense of themselves, community, and family. He joined the NYPD in 1992, and worked in the 46th precinct.
