Ruel Douvillier

RUEL DOUVILLIER is the task force leader of Louisiana Task Force 1 (LA TF-1), a Type II state urban search and rescue (USAR) team. He retired from the New Orleans Fire Department as a captain, serving with technical rescue squads and as the special operations training coordinator. Douvillier served for 20 years in the U.S. Army as a medic, infantryman and paratrooper and five years as a paramedic with New Orleans Emergency Medical Services.
