Brian S. Geraci is a Battalion Chief with the Montgomery County, MD, Fire and Rescue Service and is presently assigned to Montgomery County's Homeland Security Department. Chief Geraci has over 30 years of service in the County and was a charter member of the County's Hazardous Incident Response Team and served as one of the team leaders. Chief Geraci has certifications as a Fire Investigator, Fire/Explosive Investigator, Bomb Technician, Hazardous Materials Technician, Fire Inspector III and Police Officer.

Chief Geraci has spent over half of his career within the Office of the Fire Marshal as an Inspector, Investigator, Supervisor of the Inspection Section, Commander of the Fire Code Enforcement Section and Fire and Explosive Investigations/Bomb Squad. Chief Geraci has attended numerous conferences, seminars and courses in the area of Hazardous Materials, WMD, Fire/Explosion Investigations and Fire Code Enforcement to include numerous courses from the National Fire Academy. He is a member of a number of organizations including the NFPA, IABTI, International Association of Arson Investigators, International Association of Fire Marshals and the Maryland Fire and Explosive Investigators Association.

Chief Geraci has served as board member and several officer positions to include President of the Maryland/D.C. Chapter of the IAAI. Chief Geraci is also the Past President of the Maryland Fire and Explosive Investigators Association. Chief Geraci has a Fire Science Certificate from Montgomery College.
