GLENN A. JOHNSON is the public information officer (PIO) for the Pullman, WA, Fire Department, a volunteer position he has held since 2000. He holds advanced PIO credentials from the National Emergency Management Institute. Johnson also is a professor at Washington State University and is in his third four-year term as mayor of Pullman.
