Join the American Lung Association on Saturday, February 1, 2014 for the 9th Annual Boston Fight for Air Climb: Race Up Boston Place. It's you vs. the stairs! Your participation will help further our mission: to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease. Climb solo or form a team and invite friends, family, and colleagues to join you in tackling the 789 stairs of One Boston Place. The first participant will start at 8:00am and every climber thereafter will start in 10 second intervals.
The Firefighter Division will begin around 12:30pm and you will be amazed as over 500 firefighters from across the country climb the stairs in full gear. Don't wait - sign up today at ClimbOfYourLife.org. Every participant will have his or her own online fundraising page, and we will provide tips and tools to help you reach your goal. Registration fee is $35 and the fundraising minimum for each ! participant is $100. Distance (number of stairs/flights/floors): 789 stairs / 82 flights / 41 floors. One participant starts every 10 seconds and the event is professionally timed (every participant will receive a bib number and timing chip). Firefighter Division will begin around 12:30pm (start time is estimated). Awards are given to the fastest male and female climbers and fastest overall team, fastest female team a! nd fastest mixed team.
