Do some departments lie to their candidates about their poly scores? Would a department tell a candidate that he/she passed the poly when he/she really didn't as an attempt to avoid a lawsuit or other problems? Perhaps I'm just paranoid.

Most departments rely on a third party to administer and interpret polygraphs. Those same departments remove plenty of applicants without fear of lawsuits. I think you’re just a little paranoid xstalkrx.

It is important to remember however that Just because you are paranoid does not mean that they are not watching you.
