Yeah, you must have established residency in the City of Pittsburgh in order to take the exam.
I'm curious as to how many will apply, as this intake period is significantly longer then the last time PBF was open. A few weeks compared to nearly 6 months :rolleyes:

i would have definitely made the trip out to pitt to test but unfortunately i read that you need to be a resident

Yeah, PBF requires you to have a residence within the city limits AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION. I personally think it is a crappy requirement, especially when most other cities require a county residence or city residence 6 months after your hire date. But apparently they get plenty of applications with that restriction in place.
