Anyone know how the paid departments in Burlington County NJ, (Evesham, Willingboro, Westamptom, etc.) hire? Are they civil service or do they hire from a chief's test? Or does anyone know if they hire per diem?

Not sure about the ones you mentioned, I don't _think_ they're Civil Service. Mount Laurel is a combination dept and it is civil service.

I believe W'Boro is Civil Service, don't know for sure, though. Not a clue about Mt. Laurel or Westampton.

However, I know for a fact that Cinnaminson is Civil Service.
