just find a way man....I live in NYC and I travel to MD/VA/DC to take exams all the time...

its long...and boring 6hr ride....expensive hotel....and expensive cab fares but in the long run its worth it....

if you really want it....you will make it happen...

Why Rhode Island???

Ya... why rhode island.. not to slag on any other state.. but you have one of the best fire departments in the world right down the road in PHX (not to mention Gilbert is a great town).
I've been around the world man.. (and i mean it.. hell right now i'm in Iraq.. )and all i want to do is get back to PHX .. if you know something about rhode island that i don't let me in on it.. maybe i'll try to go out there too :)
Seriously.. you should try some of the stations in AZ (and it's my home state.. so maybe i'm a little biased).. it's a great state for Fire Fighting.

Just take tests in the area. I tested in Alabama even though I lived in New Jersey and got hired
