I hear some talk about the 67 Hour CDF course being increased to an 100+ hour course. I am planning on getting my 67 hour course this December, but I am wondering if Cal Fire is going to change the requirements for the 2009 season and require the new 100+ hour course. Does anyone know the details on this??

Where are you taking it? If you take it through a SFM academy, it will end up being closer to 100 hours regardless I believe

College of the Siskiyous is putting on a 7 day 67 hour course in the end of December. The 67 hour course is seperate from their SFM Academy that is currently in session there (although they do also provide the 67 hour course in their Academy). There is word that Red Bluff ROP is going to put on a 67 hour course also this fall, but they have not released dates nor made it official that they are going to be putting on a course yet.

It has already been done. It is not yet a state wide standard though. If you take the class in certain units ( MVU for example) it will be around 130 hours. Its been like that since 2006. I can not speak for norcal.
