Hey everyone, I am looking to enroll next semester and am looking at Los Medanos and Chabot. I was hoping I could find some people who have attended either of these schools are any current firefighters who may have an idea which school is looked at higher when recruiting.

I live closer to LMC but I have heard from a person or 2 that Chabot seems to be a little more in depth and after looking at the classes it looks like Chabot requires more units for a cert or AA.

Thanks

I didn't attend LMC but I work with a few of the instructors and they are top notch guys. Regardless of where you go, you get what you put into it. After you get out of the academy its still up to you to go out and test, take other classes etc.

Either academy is great, and both have dedicated instructors. You will not be given any more points for attending one than the other. My suggestion is to just get in where you can. They fill up quick and Chabot's is based off your college priority number. Good luck, and work hard.
