How helpful are CA Firefighter 1 and 2?

Hi,

I just recieved my FF1 and 2 the other day and wanted to know how helpful they are with getting a seasonal or permanent job with Cal Fire.

I believe they are helpful with CDF, although you must realize that you have a lot to learn about wildland.

For the seasonal spots with CDF there are points given for CSFM FF1 on the application. None for FF2. For the permanent spots points are given for a FF2 cert.
