Moving back to Florida, after chasing the big fire bucks in Washington state. I grew up and worked at a Dept in south west Florida and now thinking about moving to the panhandle. Anybody from there that could tell me about the area departments and life there. I'll be testing next week for one of the depts. Thanks.

I'm a vollie for Florosa, which is right outside Fort Walton. There are a bunch of departments around here you can try for. There's Fort Walton, South Walton, Holly Navarre, which is combination, There is also, Midway.

I grew up in that area and South Walton looks like the best dept, would love to return to the area one day.

I know South Walton, their website said they were hiring firemedics not too long ago. Might want to check them out...

I work for another dept. but if I had lived closer to the Panhandle that would have been my first choice.
