Private Hire Fire [Archive] - Firehouse Forums

I am being laid off by CalFire at the end of this pay period (I am only an LT FAE and am disposable). Are there any private hire companies that do full time staffing for the season as opposed to on call? I am going to need a decent job pretty quickly and can't afford the "sit around the house and wait for a fire" thing.

Any clues/leads would be appreciated

Fire Storm out of Chico, USFS, Uh...Why are you being laid off as an LT FAE? Did you reach the end of your term? What is going on in the red army? I heard it was business normal through some pretty solid contacts.

I know my district is in the process of hiring 2 FEOs right now, but I don't know how far along they are. Give the Give the Bridgeport Ranger District a call at 760 932 7070 and ask to talk to someone about an FEO job.
